The First Bird Pokémon Is Landing in Pokémon GO During the Catch Mastery Event!

If you're a fan of Pokémon GO, brace yourself for a flurry of exciting events on the horizon, including the much-anticipated Catch Mastery event. The game is already buzzing with activities like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and the Catch Mastery event is a thrilling part of the latter.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event is all about Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll see an increase in wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny versions.

Archen will be available as a Field Research reward, with a boosted Shiny chance to sweeten the deal. Plus, the event offers some fantastic XP bonuses, doubling your XP for Nice Throws or better, and also for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there’s Timed Research focused on catching Rock-types. If you're up for the challenge, you can tackle up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Don't miss out on the Mega Absol Raid Day, scheduled for March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is getting a powerful new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event starts, Absol will permanently have access to this move, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily boosted to 20. You'll also have the chance to snag up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, totaling six for the day.
