Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide details the four artifact detectors available in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making these detectors crucial for gameplay.
Echo Detector: The Baseline
The Echo Detector is your starting equipment. This small, yellow device features a central light tube that pulses when an artifact is nearby. The intensity of the pulsing and beeping indicates proximity to the artifact. While functional, pinpointing the exact location can be time-consuming.
Bear Detector: An Enhanced Experience
Obtained either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from vendors, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo Detector. It provides a visual distance indicator using concentric rings around its display. The rings illuminate progressively as you approach the artifact, fully lighting up upon reaching the spawn point.
Hilka Detector: Precision Detection
Acquired during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a more precise approach. It displays numerical values correlating to the artifact's position within the anomalous zone. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity.
Veles Detector: The Pinnacle of Artifact Hunting
The Veles Detector, earned by completing the main mission "In Search of Past Glory," is the most advanced detector. Its radar display precisely pinpoints the artifact's location and also highlights dangerous nearby anomalies, enhancing safety during artifact retrieval.
