6 Popular Cartoon Network Games Removed from Listings

Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant fan backlash. Without explanation, titles including Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time have been delisted from digital storefronts like Steam and the Nintendo eShop.

This isn't an isolated incident. Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company, has a history of cost-cutting measures impacting its film and game portfolios. A similar delisting event in March 2024, involving Adult Swim titles like Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, prompted public outcry and resulted in some titles being reinstated. However, this latest wave, affecting at least six games, has left fans frustrated.

The December 23rd delisting included:

  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
  • Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
  • OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
  • Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
  • Steven Universe: Save the Light
  • Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

Each game's storefront listing now displays a message indicating its removal from sale. Interestingly, some Cartoon Network titles, such as Cartoon Network Journeys VR, remain available. The soundtrack for OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is also still for sale.

The oldest game affected, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, debuted in 2014. Other titles were released between 2018 and 2021. The lack of transparency from Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games regarding the delisting has fueled fan anger, particularly concerning Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, whose removal effectively removes the game's canonical conclusion to the show's storyline. The company has yet to offer a public explanation for these actions.
