A young Black woman in Detroit journeys through time, revisiting pivotal moments in her family's past. DOT'S HOME, a captivating single-player 2D narrative adventure, unfolds within her grandmother's cherished home. This interactive experience explores the complex interplay of race, place, and home, forcing players to confront difficult decisions.

Players witness firsthand the detrimental impact of systemic forces on communities, experiencing the challenges of redlining, urban renewal, and gentrification through the eyes of those most affected. The game compels players to consider their family's history, prompting reflection on the choices – or lack thereof – that shaped their present circumstances.

DOT'S HOME is a product of the Rise-Home Stories project, a three-year collaboration between multimedia artists and housing justice advocates. This project aims to reshape community narratives by reimagining the past, present, and future.
