Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased a range of celebratory gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.
The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update addresses several bugs, boasts a refreshed main menu, and includes performance optimizations. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a makeover. These updated versions are automatically available for new games, while existing saves can access them via the in-game library.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th. This date marks the release of an update adding over 70 free in-game items! Simultaneously, a new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," will launch. Players can earn retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing a series of simple challenges.
Furthermore, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut in The Sims 4 on February 6th. Specific details regarding this season's content are currently being kept under wraps.
