Uncover the Secrets of Diablo 4's Forgotten Altars and Lost Powers
The Season of the Maelstrom in Diablo 4 introduces Witchcraft Powers, accessed through a new questline. These potent abilities are categorized into Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay, each representing a distinct facet of occult magic. Unlocking these powers requires favor with The Coven, earned by completing missions and gathering Restless Rot.
This favor allows you to upgrade Altars near the Tree of Whispers. While most players focus on these main Altars, a more elusive type exists: Forgotten Altars. These hidden sanctuaries bestow Lost Powers, significantly enhancing your character's capabilities. However, their location is not fixed; they randomly appear within Sanctuary's dungeons.
This necessitates some exploration, but the season's questline often leads you through dungeons, minimizing extra effort. The rewards are substantial; Lost Powers are among the game's most potent abilities.
