Experience the tactical stealth RPG, Guns Undarkness, a new title spearheaded by Shoji Meguro, the renowned composer behind the Persona series and Metaphor: ReFantazio. This exciting project also features Ilya Kuvshinov, the character artist from Ghost in the Shell, and rapper Lotus Juice, known for his contributions to Persona 3.

A free demo of Guns Undarkness will be available during the upcoming Steam Next Fest, offering players a sneak peek into the game's unique blend of stealth and turn-based combat.

Meguro, a veteran composer at Atlus since 1995, has contributed to iconic franchises such as Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. His transition to indie development in 2021, while maintaining his work with Atlus, has led to this exciting new project published by Kodansha Game Creators Lab. Initially unveiled at Indie Live Expo Winter 2021 and successfully funded via Kickstarter in 2022, Guns Undarkness is poised for release. The Steam Next Fest demo launches February 24th, 2025, with early access planned for later this year.

Metal Gear Solid and Persona Inspired Gameplay

Guns Undarkness seamlessly blends stealth and turn-based combat, drawing inspiration from both Metal Gear Solid and the Persona series. Set in a dystopian 2045, players assume the role of a private military contractor, embarking on crucial missions to unravel the mysteries threatening humanity's survival.

The gameplay features strategic stealth sections, where remaining undetected grants significant advantages in subsequent turn-based battles. Players command their characters, utilizing a variety of firearms to overcome challenges. The demo provides approximately 20 minutes of gameplay, covering tutorials on controls, combat, weaponry, and early-game strategies.

Early Access is slated for Spring 2025 on PC, offering around 10 hours of gameplay. A precise release date is yet to be announced.
