Goblinz Publishing, renowned for titles like Overboss and Oaken, has released a new Android game: Ozymandias. This 4X strategy game, reminiscent of the Civilization series, offers exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination. Read on to learn more.
Blazing Speed!
Set in the Bronze Age, Ozymandias lets you explore diverse Mediterranean and European civilizations. While offering the strategic depth of a classic 4X game—city building, army raising, and conquering foes—its unique selling point is its streamlined, fast-paced gameplay.
Unlike many 4X games that demand meticulous resource management, Ozymandias simplifies the process. Micromanagement is minimized, allowing for a swift and engaging experience. Games typically conclude within 90 minutes, comparable to a board game session. Simultaneous turns further accelerate gameplay.
Eight detailed historical maps and 52 unique empires, each with distinct characteristics, provide strategic variety and replayability. Multiple game modes, including multiplayer, solo, and asynchronous options, cater to different preferences. The simplified approach, however, might be perceived by some as overly simplistic. Will You Conquer Ozymandias?
Available now on Android via the Google Play Store for $2.79, Ozymandias was developed by The Secret Games Company using Unreal Engine 4. A PC version was released on Steam in March 2022.
