With Natlan's Archon Quest nearing completion, development is shifting towards Snezhnaya, the Cryo Nation ruled by the Tsaritsa. Snezhnaya's immense size, surpassing even Sumeru and Liyue, necessitates a phased rollout, likely spanning multiple updates.
Initial leaks indicated Nod-Krai as a separate region in Version 6.0. However, recent datamining confirms its placement as an autonomous province within Snezhnaya, acting as a crucial trade hub connecting the nation to the rest of Teyvat. Liben's information places Nod-Krai in Snezhnaya's southernmost reaches, suggesting access via Fontaine or Natlan.
Leakflow, Extra, and footage from The_Strifemaster reveal a placeholder landmass in the Version 5.4 beta, situated beneath Fontaine's western waterfalls. This landmass's connection to Mont Esus, a rumored Fontaine expansion, further strengthens the link to Nasha Town and Nod-Krai, although it doesn't confirm Mont Esus's release timeframe.
Nod-Krai: A Lawless Province
Nod-Krai is both a region and a city on Snezhnaya's southern border. Despite the Voynich Guild's attempts at maintaining order, it's known for its lawless nature. A significant Fatui stronghold, led by the popular Harbinger Dottore, operates within Nod-Krai. Nasha Town is a key settlement within the province, and its inhabitants reportedly possess pre-Elemental powers.
Dividing Snezhnaya into multiple releases might be controversial, but the region's scale necessitates this approach for both narrative and development reasons. Following Natlan's Archon Quest conclusion in Version 5.3, subsequent updates will gradually introduce Snezhnaya. While Capitano's fate remains unclear, Skirk, a character linked to Khaenri'ah's Five Sinners, is set to debut in Natlan.
