Fortnite Rumored to Crossover with Popular Anime Kaiju No. 8
Recent leaks suggest a potential crossover between the immensely popular battle royale game, Fortnite, and the hit anime series, Kaiju No. 8. Given Kaiju No. 8's current global popularity, such a collaboration seems plausible. Further fueling speculation, rumors also point towards a possible Demon Slayer crossover.
The buzz started with a prominent Fortnite leaker claiming an Epic Games collaboration with Kaiju No. 8. This follows the upcoming arrival of Godzilla in Fortnite on January 17th, obtainable only through the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass.
Fortnite's recent Winterfest event and the first major 2025 update have introduced new cosmetics and gameplay changes. These include using Fortnite Festival instruments as back blings and pickaxes, and expanding instrument use across game modes. A new local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival has also been released. These additions coincide with a wave of speculation about future features and crossovers.
The leaker HYPEX, known for accurate Fortnite insights, tweeted about the potential Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. For those unfamiliar, Kaiju No. 8 follows Kafka Hibino, who gains kaiju-transforming abilities after an unusual encounter. He joins an organization dedicated to eliminating these monsters. Initially a manga, it received an anime adaptation in 2024, with a second season planned for 2025. A Kaiju No. 8 crossover would place it alongside other notable anime like Dragon Ball Z in Fortnite's roster of collaborations.
Fortnite's Potential Kaiju No. 8 Crossover
Beyond Kaiju No. 8, multiple sources suggest a Demon Slayer crossover is also in the works. While details remain scarce, many anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, and some hope for map representation of characters from both anime.
Further leaks hint at additional MonsterVerse characters joining Godzilla, possibly including King Kong and Mechagodzilla. With this influx of rumored content, the Fortnite community eagerly awaits Epic Games' plans for the remainder of 2025.
