Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM as recommended for 4K gameplay.
The game leverages DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate for optimal performance. This PC port arrives almost a year after the PS5 release, which recently received a PS5 Pro enhancement patch. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at this time; Square Enix is currently focusing on Part 3 of the Remake project.
While initial PC spec suggestions were provided earlier, Square Enix has clarified the graphics card requirements. A 12-16GB VRAM card is now explicitly recommended for 4K resolution, alongside a minimum of 16GB system RAM, a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, and 155GB of SSD storage. Processor recommendations include AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, and graphics card requirements start at an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent (with specific AMD and Intel options listed).
