Embark on a captivating side quest within the main storyline of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in Kuttenberg: Master Schindel’s Toys. This guide will help you navigate the challenges of locating Master Schindel's stolen belongings.
To begin Master Schindel’s Toys, you'll need to have started the main mission, "Into the Underworld." This involves tracking down an informant named Goatskin. Begin by speaking with the Bathhouse Madam, then Adam. He'll reveal Goatskin's involvement in the theft.
Finding the elusive Goatskin requires a bit of detective work. You can either speak with Lousy Mary or follow Udo, a bathhouse patron who appears on the first floor in the evening. Following Udo is generally easier; he'll be robbed by Goatskin in a nearby alley, allowing you to confront him.
Beyond information about Liechtenstein, you can attempt to acquire a map from Goatskin. If you fail a skill check, bribery will suffice. He'll then direct you to the Kuttenberg gallows (southeastern Kuttenberg) where the "Map of Kuttenberg Underground" is found on a corpse.
Navigating the Kuttenberg Underground is tricky; the map helps, but it's easy to get lost.
Locating the Stolen Items
To expedite the quest, head to the northern side of the open area near the Kuttenberg Underground entrance. You'll find a ladder leading down. Remember your torch; it's dark down there!
Once underground, consistently turn left at each junction. Eventually, you'll discover Goatskin's stash in a barrel at a dead end (you'll need to jump down to a lower level at one point). Retrieve the book and astrolabe.
Return to the surface using the same path. Find Master Schindel (usually northeastern Kuttenberg during the day) to complete the quest. After returning his items, he'll reward you and explain the astrolabe's function.
