Unlike The Witcher series, adapted from Andrzej Sapkowski's novels, and Cyberpunk 2077, based on a tabletop RPG, Project Hadar introduces a completely new CD Projekt universe. While details are limited (confirmed not to be space horror), the project, previously involving around twenty people, has recently expanded.
The Hadar team is currently recruiting programmers, VFX experts, technical artists, writers, and mission designers. Top developers describing this as a "once-in-a-lifetime chance" suggests a significant shift from early concept to full-scale production.

CD Projekt Red is concurrently managing multiple projects. The largest team focuses on Project Polaris, the first installment in the new Witcher trilogy featuring Ciri. Two additional teams are developing a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and another game within the Witcher universe.
