Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Simplifies Camo Grinding with New Tracking Feature
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 introduces a game-changing feature: Camo Challenge Tracking. This update significantly streamlines the often-grueling process of unlocking camos and calling cards. This guide will walk you through its functionality.
The Camo Challenge Tracker simplifies camo and calling card progression. As detailed in the patch notes, the tracker lets players manually select up to 10 camo and 10 calling card challenges to monitor simultaneously. A particularly helpful aspect is the "Near Completion" notification system, alerting players to almost-finished challenges even if they aren't actively tracked.
Tracking Challenges:
To add a challenge to your tracker, navigate to the desired camo or calling card challenge. Press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracked list. This allows you to monitor progress during matches, eliminating the need to constantly check the main menu.
Even without manually tracking a challenge, the game automatically highlights those nearing completion. This information is always accessible, and a complete list of "near complete" camos and calling cards is also viewable in the Daily Challenges section of the Black Ops 6 lobby.
Improved Camo Unlocking:
The Season 2 update also adjusts camo unlocking requirements. Previously, unlocking special camos demanded nine preceding military camos. This has been reduced to five, making the path to mastery camos less arduous. However, players still need two special camos to unlock mastery camos.
This update directly addresses player feedback regarding the overwhelming number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly listened to community concerns, implementing a more efficient system for earning and equipping camos, enhancing the overall Black Ops 6 experience.
